I Quit!!!!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I'da booted him after the 5th or 6th post... I personally feel that If He would have had to register FIRST before being able to look at the forums. He prolly wouldn't have signed up in the first place... Not to mention F-H wouldn't be loosing the contributing members... Its not a big deal really Just make people register before they are allowed to view the forums. I bet the amount of trouble makers would go down and the amount of contributing members would go up! I personally would post more but the fact that this place is public and any a$$hat can view it with out commiting to being a member ...well...it makes me think twice!
Maybe start a poll?
Would you mind signing in to view the forums?
My 2cents
This has come up before,

Maybe it is time to revisit this topic and see if there has been a change in heart.

Let me think about it again if that's OK. I do know there are several other sites out there that require registration, and perhaps it is indeed working for them. I'd rather not do this personally due to the fact that the way I've configured our site is that the Forums are actually much of the content.

Having said this however, the last poll that I created on this subject had an equal number of people indicating that at least "some" of the forums should be for registered members only, while about the same number indicated that it should be open. The changing vote was that there were many who wanted ALL the forums to be available to registered users. In the end, despite the popular vote of having registered forums only, I decided that I would not change it at this time. I just didn't see any advantage to it that would improve security stuff. I may have been wrong.

I'll put some more thought into it and we'll see where it goes for now. Thanks again folks, I appreciate your responses and suggestions, even if I don't listen sometimes. I will give this top priority.

cheers,

:D All you can do is hope the folks here posting and sharing information can see past the few that wish to contribute in a negative fashion.

I think this site runs just fine, some days it's a little slow same days we have a Donkey trying to be an butt but 99% it`s just what it`s meant to be, a INTERNET site for people to learn and for some they have made a lot of good friends. Anyone that don't think Bobber or Fishhawk do a fantastic job running this needs a reality check.

My 2 cents :D
And I know I`m right

During those 1% other times we just need to remember to take the high road, bite your tongue (or hold the typing fingers back) and tell your self that this shall pass. Brush off the dirt and play nice.

Kind of like when your kids are going through one of their phases (this too shall pass)
