A little Fall Outing Report

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

A little Fall Outing Report

Post by troutnmuskiehunter »

2 weekends ago my buddy and I decided to take advantage of the Indian Summer type weather and head out for a few days of "gettin' away"......

The plan entailed gettin' some miles on his new Yamaha 700cc ATV, camping, drinkin' a few pops and catching a few trout...not necessarily in that order by the way....

Here's some pics to share with all of you.... :)

Home sweet home for a few days

We caught 8 Rainbows in total....kept 3 for meals and released the other 5.....Out of the 8 caught, three were on wet flies. I'm the flyfisher and my buddy is the spinner and worm/minnow guy!!
Here's the biggest of the 3 we kept which was caught on a fly...my wife said that I look a lil tired but I think it had to do with that empty case of Labatt Genuine on the right side of the pic we drank the night before  8) Image
Here's some scenic pics
Nice warm fireImage
As usual, the day that you have to pack up and leave is the the day that there are no clouds or wind : 8) 8) 8) Image

Hoping to get back up there after the deer hunt is over for a couple of November day trips!!..

Great report Steve.
We'll have to talk about fly fishing, always something I've wanted to try.

Beautiful place...and a good chance to sneak in under the wire before the s _ _ _ (that's snow) hits the fan.

It is uncanny the way the best weather hits the day you need to leave.

Sure cant beat a weekend away with nothing but "pops" and fish to keep you occupied...Nice work and we will need to get out together sometime for a troutin trip... 8)
