How much did you spend this year.............

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Somebody that used to post on here lot's had a great saying. It went something like this.

When I am dead and gone, the only thing that I worry about is that my wife will sell my fishing stuff for what I said I paid for it.

That always made me chuckle.

I never keep a tab on what it costs me to enjoy my favorite hobby.

I go through about 1500L of gas in the boat every year. This season I added a Chronarch Mg 50 on a 6'6" MH St Croix Avid to the arsenal for about $500 and a GPS with Navionics map chip for about $550. Not much on new lures/plastics this year, a few hundred $ tops.

Then I took up fly fishing in July. The current tab is just shy of $3000 and I still need to get the float tube....

Oddly enough, I went through all my receipts this past weekend.

I spent a total of $1434.99.

This is my first year of fishing so most of it was on start up costs.

Gas and mileage, I didn't track because most of my fishing was done within city limits.

I got lucky this year no major purchases.
Some line and some new spoons, and had one of the best fishing years ever!
