Hi Everybody,

If cost was of no concern. Miles per gallon was of no concern and reliability was of no concern. What would be your fantasy tow vehicle? Also, what expensive doo dads would you want to have on it?


Now for reality. If you are a guy like me who keeps his vehicles at least 10 years (96 Corolla 200,000km / 99 Sienna 190,00km) and cost, miles per gallon and reliability were all extremely important. What would you choose as a tow vehicle and what doo dads would you try and squeeze into the budget.

Lastly, what colour would it be?

Two days of snowfall and I am dreaming of better things already. It is going to be a lonnnnnnnggggggggggg winter :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

i see you arlready are in toyota.....hard to beat for reliable veh..


i got a nissan xttera and love it reliable good to tow 5500pound.good anught for me.

but i would love and new..pathfinder or the BIG TITAN truck(nissan).

the new chev is nice to .

but i just like toyota/nissan/honda product for there good long reliable vehicule.


dream truck........UNIMOG.... :twisted: ((hummer 1 is a wimp beside that one)

Hummer H2 truck style or Yukon with 4x4, leather seating, lcds with DVD, gps, and some big butt tires.

Reality - I drive a 99 gmc Jimmy. Its prob harder on gas then a dam hummer would be. But its basically a the little brother to a Yukon. I have 4 x 4 with leather seating that heatup in the winter. It also tows my 18' Legend well. Most of all I own it! NO PAYMENTS! which is why i have a new boat :roll:

I've always been a GM fan and owned only trucks untill I down sized to the Jimmy. I sure do miss that 8ft bed some times.

I'm with 1LastCast, a fully loaded Hummer would be great.
Reality is a Jeep Libery. Tows my 18' Bayliner with no problems.

Come the spring, I'll be looking for some suggestions to make the boat more fishing friendly, a kicker motor and a suggestion for rod holder mounts.

Its a toss up between a fully loaded chev duramax or the new toyota tundra. Both are made to do some serious towing and they look sweet!

Perhaps not everyone's cup of tea for a tow vehicle but I've been very satisfied since I took delivery last March. Dark Cherry Explorer that can tow up to 7000 pounds.

If cost was no concern it would be a toss up between Chev Suburban or Chev Duramax (Black and tan to match boat).
Reality,'02 Ford Windstar (Blue) with 200+k but works well, I towed my 17foot Princecraft over 15000km last summer and no problems (must of got lucky)!!!!

I'd like to bomb around in a Toyota Tundra or Toyota Sequoia but I'll probably put another 50,000 kms on my 96 Dakota first. The Dakota has a 5.2L V8 and it pulls a 20' ProCraft no problem but I wish it was 4WD.

I ride a 2007 Suburban 4x4. If you're going to tow and ride off-road, this is the vehicle!
