What species are you guys targeting on FIRST ICE??

how can you target one specie when your fishing with a live minnow?

The one thing that keeps us warm in the winter or should I say heated

Is the annual OOS fish dissusons

To get back on topic I think I want Slop to show me some of his Walleye spots and loan be some little hooks and crap

ok.for me it will be crappy because its the first place where it will be frozen for safe ice...ho plus a little tip up for pike not far frome me.

then...Xmas time if the lake is frozen anaugh at the cottage...some whitefish fishing.

then walleye as the weater get colder and ice ticker.

and so on.

I think the first will be Crappie and Pike but as soon as the ice forms on the lakes, we will be on our quite little spots.

I will be trying a few new lakes this year that I was forunate enough and got little tips about them. And of couse my usual Walleye spots.

I can't wait to just get out onto the ice, panfish will probably be my first target, but that'll just be to hold me over until the ice gets thick enough for me to reach some of my favorite walleye haunts... I can't wait to get into some eyes!

It would probabbly be pan fish and pike first then walleye after and so on after.

Ted it would be my pleasure to put you on some tasty treats this winter as we've been talking about ice fishing together for a few years now. The little rods are an absolute hoot on any size fish, especially when you hook a decent Walleye or Pike

I've been busy hanging out in Gatineau and learning French to ease the pain of 'cabin fever' this fall....seems to have worked so far

Can't wait to hit the playing field though

Pike,Pike and more Pike

.Where I fish you're allowed 10 lines.Plans this year are for 8 tipups with 3-5 inch minnows. The other 2 will be small icejigs looking for big perch or whatever else bites.
