Storage products?
I own a 2007 115 merc optiMax. Should I be purchasing the merc brand storage products? fogging oil, gear lube, fuel stableizer. what do you merc owner use as for brand names?
.
My personal opinion is all the higher end stuff is the same. Merc store and seal is what i use, its the exact same as the quick silver stuff with the same name. I would not recomend some of the cheaper brands.
I am not too familiar with the opti's but are the fuel injected?? If so I guess youwould just pop the plugs spray some then turn the pistons via the prop?? I do know that 3rd lower plug is always a bugger. Another product i like is the starbrite easy go&start. It is a stabilizer as well as it does the same thing as fogging!

cheap no name products= cheap no name products

By the Merc products. If you ever had a warranty issue than you will be covered. We have run into a couple of problems that Merc was reluctant to cover because of this reason. After your warranty is up use any high end product. Companies like Merc, Honda, Evinrude and Yamaha do not make thier own oils. Only 2 companies make them for everyone.
