Good insulated rubber boots???

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I have the Kamik's from Canadian Tire and my feet freeze in them so I never wear them anymore. LeBaron has some good quality rubber boots that are supposed to be really warm. I would check there.

Nodie....I have 2 different Kamiks that I bought at CT...I wore the rubberized ones that you are talking about in November during a Quinte outing...my feet were a little cold....the last time out on Quinte in Dec. I wore my Kamik snowmobile boots which are really my ice fishing boots and my feet were warm all day long....

They're a little expensive ($115), but well worth it!! Here's the link:

My brother and his father inlaw swear by these boots.

His father inlaw is has a trap line and traps minnows and those are the only boots he wears.

My brother lives on Lake Nipissing and is out on the lake every chance he gets, they are the only boots that keeps his feet warm and dry.

they are around 100-115$

The only drawback is that he has to change the liner every year cause he wears the out. But keep in mind that he is out at least 3-5 a week, working in them.

Any one that you decide to buy just make sure that they are NOT safety toes. That material conducts the cold too much.

I used to work outside for a living (21 years) and I had 2 pairs of boots in my truck one to wear around the shop (because I had to wear safety toe) and the other when I really needed warm boots and they were not safety toe.

Right now i wear the Kamiks that you show on the pictures and they are not even close to being warm enough for ice fishing, but I like them because they are felt lined, waterproof and small(not bulky). But sitting in the fishtrap for a couple of hours in those will turn your feet to ice. I might be immuned to the cold because of working in it for 20 some years but my next boots will be Baffins like DH posted.

If you want to go with Kamiks I would go with the Goliaths 1 rated to -75

A few years ago I bought a pair of Sorel Alaska boots at LeBarons. Rubber bottoms with leather tops. -100c rated if I remember correctly. Just love them.
