Merry christmas everyone !!
I have a question on reg's
One of my gifts this year was a fishing light that you drop below the boat to attract fish from BPS in the U.S
does anybody know what the regs are here in canada in regards to the use of these devices ?

This is from the Ontario 08/09 regs. May be different in other provinces
It is illegal to:
Use artificial lights to attract fish except:
– to fish for smelt, or to fish for lake whitefish or lake herring
with a dip net
– if the light is part of a lure attached to a line used in angling.

definetly illegal in Ontario.
Legal in Quebec though
