Hey , A good walk never hurt no one! I wouldn't even bring an atv out yet. with the unpredicitable weather it's not a good idea. When I was out last week at the "island" there was about 6" good ice, 2" snow under a crust of 2" and then snow on top. I wear my ice picks in my sleeves and carry a whistle and a rescue rope at all times!
Well, OBVIOUSLY!, this is some sort of Constance Bay insider scam! Don't even begin to tell be that a pick-up can't be yanked put out of the ice (shallow, shallow ice) with a back-hoe or tow-truck! Please! That truck is barely even out there! This is obviously an insurance cash-grab! Oh, we can't do it, better call in the bigger equipment, Oh! better call in the even-bigger equipment! Embarassing actually!

I should not indulge this giveit2er guy but let me tell you it would have been the insurance company that requested all that equipment if a claim was put through. If the guy did it on his own the insurance company will only pay for what was neccisary. So as an insurance scam that is crazy. Again if the guy called it into his insurance then the company would have requested all the equipment. We really move as quick as possible on these claims cause the environmental damage could be much worse and then his liability would get involved and that is usually $2,000,000 on the liab. side of things. Environmental cleanups cost $100,000 or more most times due to the requirements for environmental protection. A leaking oil tank at your home can run hundreds of thousands to clean up and months if not years of effort. It happened on Clayton lake many years ago and 4 years later they are still finding oil in the soil which means more digging to remove it. This house was moved off its foundation twice now due to the oil leaching into the soil and water table.
