This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Dog ice

Post by Seaweed »

I read on another site that Dog wasn't quite frozen over yet. Some are fishing the shallower bays but it was still wide open in the deeper parts of the lake. Hope this helps. That information was from late last week. With this warm spell coming I'm thinking you better wait for late January.

I have heard people are fishing the bays mostly for pike and pann fish. I can tell you Loughborough lake West is wide open still.

Loughborough Lk Conditions

Post by Fishnsledder »

Ok, someone on here must have a ice condition report now, I see a couple hut out on the far west end close to Sydenham Rd. I don't think they're in trout waters though..??.. I'm anxious to get over there... I KNOW I'd get some trout.....I plan on heading out from Barretts Bay on Sunday to check the ice.

Anyone?.......

Was out on the weekend. Lots of slush. Don't plan to take a vehicle, and be careful.

Was out on Sat. lots of snow/slush. 6-7" black ice and 3-4" snow ice.
Fishing was slow.

when the deep freeze hits again it will be an easy travel across the ice.
Be carefull
