ANY BOAT RAMPS OPEN?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Last week I was ice fishing near Prescott when 2 guys in a boat pulled up they said they launched out of Brockville at the old courthouse launch just off water street. They were heading to Johnstown to catch Pike. I launched there Nov.30 and the water was still deep compared to the rest of the launches around then. I think the boom is across the river just before Prescott now, but I'm sure from Brockville to Maitland and Brockville to the 1000 Island bridge would be open, although I'm not sure there's a ton of Islands around Brockville that would probally be prime for Walleye, pike, right now.

The launch is open in Cardinal but the docks have been pulled out, so you would just have to launch with someone in the boat. It could be shallow there though not sure if theres ice there in the canal or not, pretty fast water. I'll be in that area in the next couple of days, i'll check launches out in Brockville and Cardinal and post results.

The boat launch is open in Cardinal and the canal leading to the main channel is also, for sure was there today. The water in the canal looked deeper than the end of the summer level.I drove from Prescott and the river is open Prescott to Cardinal and looking towards Morrisburg I couldn't see any obstructions. There is a boom across the river in Prescott just west of the Coast Guard base. Sunday looks like the best weather down here for boat fishing. Some great fishing in this stretch of water and very private right now!

The West St. / Ontario St. ramp in Kingston is open and the dock is still there. The lake and the river are both ice free for the most part.
