ICE DERBY EVENT

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

nuts....sorry i didn't make it guys...I left home to come there and couldn't see more than 20 feet in front of the van. I was stopped at the end of my road waiting to get onto highway 7 and the fog was so thick that i only had about 2 seconds notice from when i saw the headlights of a car until it passed the front of the van. decided that wasn't worth the risk of it being a tractor-trailer :(

Sorry i wasn't there

Maybe you should make it nothing over 12" for the walleye.

the 12 incher and smaller is a good ideal wallyboss...

that way nothing is going close to the size limit.

and i would say even if its live to register...to be in a bucket full off water in the reg.like alexandria..

dont want a bunch off baby walleye.dead.. :? .

so in a bucket of water..would be nice...i do no its hard to walk wit it..
   .

I've been doing pretty good with small walleyes this year so I should have a chance at the Derby.

How about total inches of all walleye caught?

And anything over 12" doesn't count.

Ok it is pretty cut and dry , we decided to go smallest because there seemed to be to much controversy regarding eyes due to the slot coming into effect on that day. It will also make it different. If it is going to much of a problem then maybe we should just do it without eyes. But it really is not to hard to understand. And absolutely the fish must be alive in a bucket or something with water , we dont want any dead fish and they wont count if thery are.

Should we maybe discuss this more?

Like Badger said It's not too hard to understand. It's the smallest walleye and it has to be alive.

So if your walleye is smaller than my walleye then you win!!!!

nope its not.......but put all the final derby reg here would be nice to see.(and more clear to all)

wallyboss say...Like Badger said It's not too hard to understand. It's the smallest walleye and it has to be alive.

true.BUT it those have to be said.........IN THE SIZE LIMIT.
like i said before...all kind off people there..some dont read the reg book at all.

not hard to understand but there no'' limit in that tread.

just to make sher people do understand.sometime you can t say it anaugh.

but this will be a good derby.

A good 2 thumbs UP to all people involve in the making off that one. .

its time consuming ..but the cause is worth it.

Almontefisher, it was about 2" bigger than the baits I was using. Can't use Yve's baits where I was fishing, they have to be bought in La Belle Province.

Maybe an idea would be too put on the ticket needed for the Derby that new regs for walleyes are in effect. That they are to be followed strictly.
