Having grown up fishing for salmon on the west coast of Vancouver Island, ice fishing is a brand new experience. Does anyone have any pictures or instructions on how to make some tipups?
I had my first ice fishing experience last weekend at Shirley's Bay with some worms from Bit's N Bait. Bowzog gave Micpik and I a funny look when we said we were heading to Shirleys Bay with worms and not minnows. It didn't matter, it was a beautiful day, we caught a few perch and had a great time. I was using my 3 yr old's Little Nemo Floating Rod LOL
Like I said, if anyone can point me in the right direction for building some tipups, that would be great.

gmctruck,
Go to Candian Tire and look at the ones they have and replicate them using 1"x 2"s. I make my own and added mini reels that I purchased at Wal Mart for $2.99 a piece. Here's a picture of them, there on the left hand side:
The top and bottom are 23" long. You will need a table saw, band saw and drill to make those. I would add the plan but it's not on paper. It's in my head.
Hope this help!
