Stuck

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I'm not bashing anyone either... I just remember renting a hyundai in university and getting stuck in 1 inch of gravel!! 4 guys pushing, we're stuck ! That's it, in gravel! The tow guy even tried to help us but eventually we had to get the guy to pull us out of 1 inch if gravel in a parking lot!

Unless you have a 4x4 with good ground clearance and KNOW THE BODY OF WATER that you are going out on I stongly agree with Joco about walking out on the ice instead of going out and gettin' stuck!!

Sunday was a GONG SHOW here on the river.....cars, vans, you name it got stuck trying to drive onto the river from the various fire lanes that have been plowed by us locals so that we'll be able to get our shacks off by the deadline in March....

Another Reason not to take a vehicle on the ice

Post by Seaweed »

Well here is a link to another reason not to take a vehicle on the ice this year.... this sucks for sure.

http://forums.fishontario.com/thread.js ... 8&tstart=0

I bet you these girls won't take theirs out again any time soon.

You know in many years gone by I have taken mine out on the ice... but this year's ice just isn't good enough to take a chance. Stay safe everyone. :?

I left the Quad on the trailer this Saturday, just because of that. Even just the short walk to our spot reaggravated my sore back enough to keep me at home Sunday, but I can just imagine getting stuck and trying to get out.

This is for anybody that gets stuck, instead of asking somebody to push you out, Ask them to drive and you Push!!!!!

No problem buddy, how did you make out fishing Sun night? It's pretty rough driving right now to say the least. I'm used to walking out now...kinda sucks though  Nothing like going from a warm hut into a warm car when the day is done!

Looks like we are going to move our hut this Sunday. Are you going to be out there?

I got stuck way out on baitshop last year and Oziles gladly yanked me out without charging me a fee, I just had to wait a little bit. Then again, with the amount of $$ they make from me and my buddies getting bait every in a single year, I would hope there on-top of that if it were to happen. I go out with no less than two-dozen of the livliest I might add 8)
