Foolishness

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

You don't risk falling through the ice into freezing cold water just to save walking a couple hundred yards if you walk 50 kms to work.

I was at Petrie this morning and you would not be able to pull your Clam2000 with gear out to my spot without half your day going by ya. Period. The snow goes up to your knees just about everywhere...It takes a toll on your legs fast, especially with the amount of slush out there right now. You big talkers wan't to give it a go...You can pull my stuff out for me 2morrow :!: It won't be hard to tell who the lazys are.

I find it hard for you to be calling a very well known person from this community an 'Idiot' .You lost more than your fair share of points with this crowd now buddy.

Hey now that Bobbers back, maybe he can clean up a few things. One being all these goons have nothing better to do than put the members down and critisize them.

Fishing 24/7, Joco pulls about double that...I betcha 50lbs of it is just jigs

I tell ya I have pulled the yukon out a few hundred yards before with all the gear. I try to pack light but its still a hell of a time.

If the ice is safe and I mean 6" min. I bring the atv a honda 500. I also dont take the bike out unless I see others in the area doing so.

I dont think its being lazy to drive out onto ice to injoy a day outside. Its SMART! IF THE ICE IS SAFE!!! After all, this is why we all own cars? to use em to travel from A - B.

Maybe this summer I will try swimming out to my fishing holes. Using a boat is just plane lazy. lol.

True, if the snow is too deep, its very hard to tow all your gear out. But, if there's that much snow, you're not driving out anyway, unless you have a 4x4. You'll need a 4-wheeler or snowmobile. If a car can get out there, most times the walk is doable, especially at Petrie.

Thanks for saying I'm a "well-known member of the community" though...

It's not 'doable', I got a ride out with Getnjiggwithit and Anthony followed Big Jim out with the car as far a they could go  The ice road is plowed. My spots are not that close to the main road

And I was not talking about you

Slop, I think I will put a little report up to cheer things up a bit around here.
