2008 F-H Crappie Derby

This is great...

I have put together a few rules and what not for the day. We will have to decide a location that can accomidate everyone and that has the right facilities. Petrie looks like the #1 spot at the moment.

It will be in tournament format, live release and 2- man teams. I will get them soon and you fellas can tell me what you think. I have two spnsors that will be donating a few small prizes as well. If you would like to help out and/or donate a small prize you can let me know by shooting either Jig Head and I a PM.

So, how about the first or second week in May?

Hawkers,

Jig Head and I have put a lot of time into getting stuff ready for this event and we will have a sticky put up shortly with the rules and registration forms. Hoping to see many all out...there had been a lot of intrest. We have a few sponsors on board and looking for a few more for small prizes. Please contact Jiggy or I regarding any information.

Tip-up....

I am not a crappie kind of fisherman but it sounds like a good time.. I think we could use a thread on Crappie fishing techniques... maybe a few hot spot sharing detail..

I bet Joco has some sweet spots... As for Petrie.. I am not far form there but have no idea where to launch... Maybe you can include this in the detail on the tourney!

Bob, the road to the location we had in place for the event is closed and will be closed for a little while due to high water. After chatting with a few people we have decided to have a tournament this upcoming ice season and hopefully get a event going for next spring as well.

I have not even been fishing on the Ottawa R. this year. I was nailing them this time and earlier last year

Sorry to all that showed intrest in attending, this will give us time to make it better and a plan B
