Well I finally managed to get out tubing this weekend with a few other members. We managed to puddle jump between a few Calabogie lakes over the course of the day. On lake #1 we managed quite a few brookies, though only two with any size to them. On Lake #2 the brookies were definitely a respectable size, though the competition from bass will pretty much shut this lake down for trouting for the rest of the season soon. Lake #3 was the slowest of the lakes for us. I lost a nice bow and had only one other hit. The others were having hits but nothing landed.
Next weekend it's NY Adirondack ponds!
Cheers,
Todd

Glad to hear you finally made it out in the tube. I was starting to think that you might have given up fishing
Good luck in New York next weekend. You'll have to let me know how the ponds are down there. Next weekend is busy for me, I'm hoping to make it out somewhere locally but that might not happen.

Yeah, but we had nowhere near the success that you had. Fishboy said that he's going to get out locally on Monday. I'll probably go as well.
I caught all my brookies on the phuzzer I tied for the swap. There was a good midge hatch on the "brookie" lake. Oh, the first step at the lake is a challenge now...waist deep! If you're lucky you can find a root to stand on to help you jump into your tube. LOL
