Summer (Evening) Fishing - June 11th (NOTICE OF DATE CHANGE)

Post by Todd B. »

** DATE CHANGE DUE TO BAD WEATHER **

Date: Wednesday, June 11th <-- new date
Time: 6pm
Location: Rideau River - Billings Bridge section
Parking: south side of Warrington (map)

Target Species: Pike, walleye and/or panfish

Notes: This will be a wading event, and proper wading boots are strongly recommended. Given the recent rains the water level will most likely be higher than normal but it should still be safe to wade. If you're not familiar with the location just as me or anyone else there that has fished it before to point out the wadable sections. The bottom varies from soft mud to small rocks to large (closely spaced) rocks. As such the wading can be tricky at times and a wading staff would be a good option.

It's a shame the Rideau isn't a trout stream. The caddis and BWO hatch last night was great.

All in all it was a good evening on the water. Chris, nice to see you back out as well as dragging Nick out for his first crack at flyfishing. Travis, nice to meet you as well.

Cheers,
Todd
