What do you do for a living????

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Boat technician, marine drive rebuilder, mainly larger boats though dont get into fishing boats too much. A fun job but it can sure cut into my fishing time. Also I run a trapline in the winter at times

I seem to recall, Iceman, that you also had the tough job of leading a group of college girls around the shorelines. I guess that's going back a little ways. Poor you.

W.
I still do that job Wolfe (great memory); will probably work with college girls till the day I retire (or my wife sees any of them) whichever comes first.

I finished school in August, so I would've been a student.

Now, I'm back at home with the folks, and can't find a job to save my life, lol.

I am a supervising biologist for the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife. I started out in the fish hatchery raising warm water fish from egg to three inches and thats as big as the fish get here in NJ as far as I ever knew. Ha Ha! Been at the job almost 24 years and now we just opened a winery for our retirement job. WWW.brookhollowwinery.com if your ever in the area stop by and mention that you are a fellow fish-hawker and your tasting is on me!

I am semi-retired, and run a small printing business out of my house. I print on glassware, wine glasses, shot glasses and the like for weddings. I also screenprint T-Shirts. My hours are quite flexible and I love to spend time on the Ottawa River. Also just picked up an 18 foot Starcraft to sample the fishing Lake Ontario has to offer. Love the area around Prince Edward Bay near Timber and False Duck Islands.

I am a DND civilian. I work in Contracting.

I too am looking to make it in the hunting and fishing industry. I used to do sales and at one point was selling about 8k a month working part time for a large pet store....pretty damn good!

I`d love to get sponsored by Loomis (favorite rods), Browning (fave guns) and Hoyt (fave bows). I spend considerable time in the bush and on the water when not working. I am a civil servant who DOES work!

Contrary to popular belief, Civil Servants do not get 6 months of vacation. I am only 27 and have 5 yrs in. At 8 years I get 4 weeks vacation.
Not alot when you consider Moose is 1 week, Deer is 1 week and then 2 weeks for family, fishing etc...I have 2 small kids.

What does make it easier is my lovely wife fishes and hunts too. In fact she works for Crystal at Baitcasters (So the curly blonde is my wife ok boys!!!!)

So she is very supportive of my time.

I am also part of alot of fishing and hunting groups.
I am a member of Fish-Hawk(duh!), Muskies Canada, National Wild Turkey Federation, Delta Waterfowl, Duck Unlimited, OFAH.

I put alot of time and effort into fundraising, getting people into the sport and helping out...

I am a way better hunter than a fisherman. But that is starting to change. I stopped fishing for a while. Kinda like when I started liking women more than fishing, somewhere around 11.....I got back into it pretty hard 3 yrs ago and MCI has been a huge part of it. I`ve met alot of cool people and made alot of friends through this site and through MCI.

I`d like to start doing archery guiding on my property and also bass/walleye guides on some of the untouched lakes up there.

In the 4 yrs I`ve been hunting I`ve put 2 moose, 3 deer (1x15-pointer), numerous ducks and geese, many grouse and pheasant and 3 wild turkeys under my belt. My ration is 70% luck with big game and 100% with waterfowl and upland game.

But yeah! Back to work I plan to retire at 55 and sell Harley`s(another of my huge passions, yes I do ride one!) and turn my property into a aviary for birds of prey and horses.
