walleye info around charleston lake?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

walleye info around charleston lake?

Post by prcab »

Last year I asked where to stay and fish on charleston lake with my wife and two daughters. We had the greatest two weeks of smallmouth fishing (catch and release) of our lives. Many of the fish were in the 5 pound range with fish every day and then we switched over to largemouth and it was just as great. We are again staying on hogback from July 5-19 this year but looking for places to bring the boat on day trips for some walleye fishing and was wondering if any of the gang could provide some assistance. Wolfe, Dartee and ganman were of great help last time and I thank you tremendously!

I'm no expert believe me (I've only been fishing around the Gan area for a year now) but as I understand it there's apparently walleye around the Gan Inn at the end of the river.

I've been down there at the marina a couple times now but no luck yet....I think I'm too far up river (near the King Street Bridge).

Gonna try further down by the Inn this week. I'll let you know!

For walleye I'd suggest Wolfe Lake past Westport, and the St Lawrence River @ Cardinal.
If you require specifics please feel free to ask away.

Hope this helps,
