BRAESIDE BOAT LAUNCH

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

BRAESIDE BOAT LAUNCH

Post by SteveH »

Hey guys. I am wondering if anyone has used (or seen) the boat launch at Braeside (just west of Arnprior). It is called the Red Pine Bay Launch off of Usborne Street (close to River Road). I am wondering if:

a. It has a dock;

b. Is there a charge;

c. Is it suitable for a 17' Bass Boat.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

There is a dock, but not a great one

No charge

I launch an 18' deep V. But if the wind is blowin from the west you will likely get wet in a bass boat

I live 2km down the road from that launch. The sign there says there is a charge but there is nowhere for you to pay your money so it's basically free. There usually is a dock (if you can call it that...) in place before the pike / walleye season opens. So far the dock hasn't been put in. The bottom is fairly sandy so with the docks still out you can launch and then pull the boat up on shore. I've had no problems launching a 17' deep v boat there.

Cheers,

Salar.

Yeah they were giong to start charging, but then realised if the were going to make us pay they would have to do somwe work. That was the end of them wanting to charge.

Still no docks????? Lazy, buggers!
