Since everybody is sharing what they have to boat with here's mine.
i have a 16.5 foot canoe. i have 2 rod holders. 2 deep cycle batteries and a 30 pound thrust minkota trolling motor that is attached by a motor mount, made by old town. last year i purchased a hummingbird fish sonar. it's great for depth and water temp! soon i'm going to make a mount for my vexilar.
a new addition to my monster boat/canoe is a carrying cart. i purchased a set of wheels for the canoe. no more portages!!!
well that's my boat. i've been lake trout fishing, to brookie fishing with it. to catching monster pike in quebec to big bass on the ottawa. this canoe has taken me everywhere!!!
even places where those expensive bass boats can't get to!!!
nice rides everybody!!

Here's my boat. It's a 14' McCullock Alluminum, modified with a casting deck, vexilar and humminbird fish finder(Which will have a Lowrance very soon
) and a Motor Guide bow mounted trolling motor. I will be putting a lot of work into in the next three weeks getting it ready for bass. New carpet, some storage, another new, raised deck and a couple new things.

Never thought I could like fishing any more than I did until I picked up my first boat this year. Crestliner Fish Hawk 1750 w/ 115 Optimax and SS prop. 67lb Motorguide up front, X67c at the console and Garmin 250 on the bow. I can't get the smile off my face every time I'm in it, I still can't believe it's my boat. See y'all on the water.

1995 ProCraft VDC-200, 20'2", dual console, 200HP Merc EFI, MinnKota Maxxum 74lb/24V/Universal Sonar.

The console electronics are the original Lowrance X-55 and a Zercom flasher. My GPS is a Lowrance H20C which I pop onto a RAM mount. I have been considering getting one of the LMS sonar/GPS combos but I spend 90% of my time in slop with the sonars turned off so it is hard to justify the $$$ for a bigger GPS screen. On the bow I have an Eagle FishEasy of some sort that is hooked up to the Universal Sonar. I have been thinking of replacing it with an X67C or a Vex and end up with a decent flasher for ice fishing at the same time.
She holds 180L of gas and when going full out (about 70MPH (GPS)) she likes to drink about 1L/min. The only time I ever go that fast is in a tournament where my partner will be paying for half the gas. I normally run her at about 45 MPH (GPS) which gives me 8-10 days of fishing from a full tank.
I've had it for 5 years. It is a wonderful ride.
I also have a 14' tinny with a 9.9 Johnson that I use for cats and short outings with the fly rod.

t doesnt matter what boat you have as long long as your fishing.
you go that right.
dont need any boat at all and still do great fishing and sometime better then boaters.and vis versa.
boaters are on water and cast to shore..shore fishermans cast where the boat are...
.
the boat dont make the fisherman at all.
you can have a tiny 12 footer and do better then a 50G$ bass boat any time...just take more time to go back to launch to register them hahaha
it is just a personal choice. and budget.
some its big boats..some its canoe/kayak some it tiny boats and some its float tube etc.
as long as you have fun.that is what count.

My first year of fishing on the Big Rideau (2006) I had a 1982 jon boat with a transom mount trolling motor and 50 hp. No electronics. I did pretty good with that boat and caught quite a few smallies/largies.
Last year I bought a Larson fish and ski with bow mount TM plus two fish finders, and did not do too well. Maybe an expectations thing.
I'm tempted to take the little jon boat out of the boathouse for the opening of bass....
