The bite has been slow for longline and downriggers with lures or livebait

Hope it picks up - going down tomorrow for a nice long weekend :D :D :D

Haven't been for a few years, but when I was younger me and my dad would hit the limit for lake trout (2)......Usually at depths of 100 ft.

The lake is quite deep.

Lake trout are very oily and fatty.

The best way to eat them is to clean them normally, and burn the crap out of them on the barbecque. It gets rid of all the oily taste. Just add some lemon and presto, BBQ lake trout.

AMAZING............very tasty fish.
