Summer School starts Aug 18th

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Summer School starts Aug 18th

Post by McQ »

Spent the weekend at Nemio, didn't get on the water at all. Spent three days working on the satellite system - try it sometimes - bad weather and no connection - frustrating isn't a big enough word to describe my feelings.

On the plus side - Ronnie was out showing a spot to some guests on Saturday and wacked a 32 1/2 incher that came in at 12 lbs.

The interesting thing is the big hen came out of an area that you'd think would be vacated after the spawn - go figure.

The river is still holding good fish and the bays of course are producing quite well. Not being able to get on the water I was a nuisance I'm sure pestering all the boats as they came in to see how they were doing.

Anyway, there's still room for a couple more folks to attend so if interested give me a PM>

UPDATE: Was up again this weekend and got 2 solid days in - the rivers holding fish but the bay is on fire - limits daily and the big pike are concentrating over the schools pf walleye - my best for the weekend was a solid 15 pounds of streaking fury.

I was the guest Ronnie was supposed to be showing the hole. He also pulled a couple of 3s and a 4 pounder out the same spot.

Two of us in the boat , 30 feet away, both with cameras and both too stunned to do anything but watch. Rode him all weekend about showing us where to fish and not catching them first.

We got nothingout of that hole. Well that's not completely true, Rosie brought us half a home made blueberry/rasberry pie. Um um good. I think she felt sorry for us. Great folks.

Can't complain though, we caught a whack of fish and I'll post a full report when I get my buddies pictures. 8)

Wish I was joining you guys. Summer vacation was booked a long time ago. If you're ever going up that way again let me know. Looks amazing. Make sure to leave some fish for the rest of us
