IS a bad day fishing better than a good day at work???

Post by jcorrigan »

Had the experience yesterday of blowing a fin out and dampening the day...but there were warning signs that yesterday was NOT going to be a banner day!

Sign#1: Local Bait and Tackle shop out of minnows...sigh..oh well, gives me a chance to work on using spinnerbaits

Sign#2: Oh rats...forgot socks to wear inside the waders. A little uncomfortable with that rubber on bare feet feeling but what are you gonna do

Sign#3: Alright, finally launched off a particularly slippery/treacherous shore. Get rigged up and have a cigarette...NOT if your lighter wont work.

BAM...whoa....what the heck??? Why am I going in a circle? What's that blue thing floating in the ...ohhhh...crud...

Still floated a round for an hour or so but didn't get to check out the spots I wanted. I'll just head back to CT and exchange the fins and go back out.

Nope..ALL out...

Sigh...this town needs a good dive shop....

A bay day fishing is better than a day at work by far!

I love the trip, the adventure, exploring etc, going to brook trout lakes with no cottages on them, pristine wonderful places, even if there isn't any fish. haha.....

anytime out in the wilderness is better than being at home.......
