A couple years ago...I need some smallies like this!

Just thought I would post this picture of a nice smallie I got on my 7 weight a couple years ago, check it out:

Caught him in the surface, on the fly below in July.

Here is the fly I got him on, i tied it on a size 6 streamer hook I believe.

Nice fish!!

I caught a 2lb'er last night on my 6wt and I thought my rod was gonna snap in half. I had to change fighting arms about 3 times. It took 5 minutes before the fish even showed its face. The way it was fighting I could have sworn it was a walleye.

Catching fish on the fly is certainly a lot more challenging isn't it...

Nice smallie!! Always great to get them on the surface.

Come out to the Algonkin Fly Fishers bass tourney on Sunday, we're hoping to get in to some that size and larger on Muskrat Lake :)

If you consider 120km close, then yes it is :)

Muskrat lake parallels hwy 17 at Cobden. Here's a map:
