Shore fishing group?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Weekend Warrior and I were the only two we could see from Fish-hawk (we both had our hats on). There were lots of people there fishing but apart form lots of small perch, pumpkinseed, etc there were no big fish to be found. We threw everything at them and still nothing. We were fishing off the dock and things got so bad Mark and my group were having a contest to see who could pull in the biggest piece of weed.

Lets hope the next place shows better results.

Ok, let's make some arrangements for next weekend or even some evening after work. Anyone have any really good spots they would like to share with the group?

I can do Tuesday (tonight) OR Wednesday evening this week.

We're heading up towards North Bay on Saturday morning for a week then a few days at my parents place in the Kawarthas. I'm hoping to get lots of fishing in at both places since I've got access to a boat and/or canoe at each spot 8) .

Looking forward to beating my PB 6-foot weed that I caught on Sunday

Pikeman,
Fishing-wise, that spot was very good during early summer, pike , garpike, but as the summer wore down, it became over-fished and hence it might be tough. What makes things worse, is a lot of fishermen over there practice CTH ( Catch and Take Home ) for tiny tiny little bass/eye/pike.....Nothing wrong with CTH, but the fish has at least to have some meat in it , otherwise what is the point.
Anyways, enjoying the sunset from there is absolutely fantastic and you'll see a lot of photographers taking pictures. it is a nice hangout when you want to meet buddys and wet a line for an hour or two without the need to drive for long hours.
If everything lines up, a buddy and myself might be there for an hour or 2 at the sunset, tonite.

Good luck
