Post by fishin loon »

I have a older motor that has the pressurized tank two lines.
I was wondering if I could change it to one line and what i would need to do that????

Thanks Fishin loon

You can't......or at least I was told by my marina....

I had the chance to buy an older motor last year for my jon boat.
I needed a small motor for it to get out duck hunting.

It had the old tank and 2 lines etc.

The tank had massive corrosion in it and cleaning it out was damn near impossible we found! We went to our marina to buy a replacement tank and a new hose for it.

We were told that parts for the old 2 line style were scarce and to check e-bay for collectors who may have the stuff. They had line, but no connectors or tanks.

I went on e-bay and I found the tanks in fair condition to be a little pricey when you factored in shipping, fee's and border taxes etc.

All this for a $100 5hp Envinrude!!!! That hadn't been run in a few years!

I skipped out and have been looking for a reasonable priced used engine since!

But PLEASE if you do come across a conversion kit, and I am sure something out there in internetland exists, please PM me and let me know!
