east end baitshop?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

east end baitshop?

Post by BrianM »

I have searched the archives for an answer to my question and came up empty, so bear with me on this one. I'm looking for a baitshop in the east end of Ottawa. Is there an other option than Petrie Island? heading down to Rockland area.

Thanks for the input.

YOu can try Voyageur Depot on MacArthur Avenue, about 1km passed Belair Toyota. They have minnows, worms and leeches

There is also one at Wendover. Mind you, when the warm water hits, they seldom stock minnows. I guess the mortality rate is too high to get return on investment. Bring your cell phone, there is a number to call, you will see it at the launch. The Baitshop is right next door.

There is also one in Alfred near the last chip-stand on your left hand side in the village. Just off High-way 174.
The phone number for the one in Wendover is 673-1603. Pete's minnows.

Thats why they looked at me funny when I asked for vinegar and salt half way through when I ordered a bag.

The Home Hardware store in Rockland sells minnows and worms. I would be carefull as I have yet to see that store in Alfred open LOL I drive by there all the time and have stopped a handfull of times and have yet to get a look inside.

TM, I've seen the worms at HH in Rockland, but never minnows. Do you have to ask at the counter?

I was in the backroom one time, looking for something I believe was a large box with server and saw the minnow tank there.
