Just wondering what folks have in their fly boxes...
I'm an avowed dry-fly fanatic - I absolutely love nothing more than seeing and feeling a strike on a slow-drift dry fly. I'm partial to the tried and true Adams (size 16-22 are my personaly tying preference) and Humpy. Texas Rose dries are also always in my 'dry' box.
In wet flies, I'm really big on Stimulators and Black Ghosts.
For streamers, my Clouser Minnows and Mickey Finns are my top choices, but my Swede (Mickey Finn tied in yellow, blue, yellow) has been getting me a lot of hits of late. Bunny Leeches (mostly white body/chartreuse head) are also a favourite.
I've found that I enjoy tying as much as I enjoy fishing- makes the winter go by a little quicker too- and that's not a bad thing!
What's in your fly-box? Tie your own or buy?

Hey Jean,
Although I have many different flies in my box in the event of an unexpected hatch, my favorite flies to tie and fish without a hatch are:
Dry flies: Royal Wulffs, Adams, Parachute Hares ear.
Wet Flies/Nymphs: soft hackle hare's ear, Pheasant tail, Prince Nymph
streamers: Marabou Leech, Leachie Fruit, Clouser Minnow, "The Mitch Special"

I have many different flies in my box as well but the one I always turn to is the Woolly Bugger. For me it's the best all around searching pattern in lakes and rivers no matter what the species. Typically I tie them sparse with crystal chenille, gold bead, and red thread collar. Favourite colours include golden olive, peacock & black, rusty brown, orange & brown w/ brown hackle, yellow & brown w/ olive hackle. This season I started to experiment with tying them as tube flies. So far the results have been excellent. Having the hook farther back in the tail has increased hookups, especially when rainbow trout fishing.
Other favourites include
Dries: Stimulator, Fat Albert, Chernobyl Ant, Parachute Blue Winged Olive, Klinkhammer Special
Wets: Dark Montreal, Snatcher
Nymphs: Ausable Ugly, Beadhead Muskie, Prince Nymph, Czech Nymph, San Juan Worm
Streamers: JJ Special, Marabou Black Ghost
I tie most of my own flies. If I'm fishing a new area I'll buy some flies from the local shop.
