First on behalf of Muskies Canada I would like to thank all the generous donations made in order to support this great cause.

There are too many to mention and I would hate to forget anyone so we'll just extend a hugh thank you to all those who stepped up and made this raffle the success that it was.

All donors will be acknowledged on the Muskies Canada web-site at www.MuskiesCanada.ca.

I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say it's the least we can do for someone who has given so much to our sport and our communities, and we wish Jim all the very best in his continuing fight."

Secondly Muskies Canada would like to extend our appreciation and gratitude to all who bought tickets in order to support Big Jim. You all stepped up big time and all deserve a HUGH THANK YOU :D :D :D We had to pick six tickets but I believe you are all winners for the support you all showed.

It was because of you that we are able to present Big Jim with a cheque to help with his treatment in the sum of

As you know the draw was held last night at the legion in Ottawa and we are happy to congradulate our 6 winners.....

Robert Dick from Ottawa Ont.

Ben McAllister...City not given.

That is an abosolute amazing job Matt. Please extend my congratulation to Muskies Canada for managing this initiative and raising $15,000 for a man who more than anyone else in the fishing industry deserves it. Big Jim is an icon to most everyone, and this fund raising success just proves it. (even though I didn't win)

CONGRATULATIONS to all the winners, and thank you Muskies Canada and everyone who purchased tickets to support our "Big" friend.

Cheers,
Rob Atkinson

Kudos to MCI for making this happen....

This will be more than humbling to Jim....he's always the one doing stuff for others....it's great to see it reversed...

A BIG round of applause should go out to Matt for all of his hard work and time spent in putting this all together, he did one heck of a job and I know has sacrificed ALOT of his fishing time in doing so.

Way to go MATT :!: :!: :!:

Now get out and fish!!!

P.S. Why did "Frenchie" have to win.....you know what we are gonne have to listen to :D :D

THANKS!!!

Post by Big Jim »

Hey Guy's and Gal's, just wanted to take a moment here to offer a pile of thanks to Matt and Jim along with everyone else who helped out or bought tickets. :D :D

You never think you will need help along the way and as RJ said "this is very humbling to me" for the reason that help was offered and not asked for... means even more!!! and makes it very special.
This is the first time in over 20 years where I was really confused about what was going to happen to me and things like this secure my future to get this crap out of my body.

I just spent the most horrible five days of my life by far with this chemo, but it seems to have let up a bit here and hopefully I can make the boat for a little ride this Sunday with Mr. Robert Izumi as he practises for the FLW STREN on the St. Lawrence. Bob offered to pick me up and get me out for a couple of hours if it is nice... 8)

THANK-YOU THANK-YOU THANK-YOU

BIG JIM :D

Big Jim.... no thanks necessary my friend. If it wasn't MCI it would have been someone else..I just wish it never had to happen...for all the good reasons .
