Report - Local Lake - Bass Fishing

Post by Leechman »

Guys,

Yesterday, the plan was for BassAddict and I to hit one of the local lake for bass action. The weather was beautiful but somewhat cool early morning and decided we'd leave around 9:30am. Got to the lake around 10:15am, launch the boat and headed for our favorite spot.

I know that yesterday was the full moon and expected the fishing to be slow but to our surprises got quite a handfull of both SMB's & LMB's..... Started working around the many islands that the lake has and produce results right of the bat.....
I started with a white BigO and hooked this little darling.....not a big one..... but decent....Here is a hand shot of it

Image

Then BA with his white Spinner Bait got this one..... an 18" LMB..... very decent fish and gave him a good fight.

Image

Here is BA with another one, on a bass rat....

Image

We moved to another a spot and BA wanted to try the thick stuff and got this wopper..... 18" and change LMB

Image

While he was working the pads..... got this one on the BigO....

Image

And again got this one....a hand shot....

Image

We moved to another spot and I change to a Spinner Bait and right away hooked this baby

Image

And this one....

Image

BA kept using his bass rat and working the outside edge of cat tales and again.... hook on this baby....

Image

We kept fishing different spots and got a few, here and there but nothing huge.... As daylight diminished..... we headed for a flat.... tied on a jitter bug and got into a frenzy..... Caught one that was smaller than my lure....about 5" long..... Did manage a few double headers :D

Caught a ton of these.... here a hand shot...

Image

Then BA gets this 18" beast....

Image

And I get this decent one...

Image

We used a different variety of lures and the preferred ones were: Bassrat, BigO, SpinnerBait, Jitterbug, Hoola Popers and Gulp.

Was a wonderful time spent on the water
Until the next time

 That was pretty funny....But seriously...I have caught over a hundred bass over 3lbs this year...And many with members of this site. I just have no intrest in sharing reports anymore due to the fact that a bunch oa ya don't really care... Some of you guys have already proved that...and a lot of the time I have been asked not too.

Almost had my first Nickel bass this weekend on Verona Lake yesterday morning...Also got to fire off a glock and a couple other magnums for a couple hours before heading out for the first time.

Thanks for the report FishFinder...you guys have really been keeping this place alive.

How did you like the Glok Tippy??? I go out with a buddy of mine to Smiths Falls range all the time to shoot his 9mm...What a hoot...Also pretty good at the skeet as well. Probably have a 80% hit rate...Now with the 9mm I have a 10% hit rate

BA and FF...how do you do this so consistently...Always a good report with you guys. And what about 24/7??? Was he not allowed out for the day
