Hey guys and girls (especially single girls that fish ),
Just thought I'd say hello before I start posting again.
I've bought a new house (fixer-upper like everything else I buy) and I have a new hour consuming job I haven't been able to hit the water much. I've been fishing once this year But it was a good trip in Lake Placid... got my 17 inch brown
Well I'll have questions and comments coming as work is getting easier and the house is getting better and vacations are coming in 4 days.
I'll probably see you most in the fly fishing section as it's my new thing since catching all that trout in NY.
WELCOME BACK DUDE, FORGET LOOKING FOR CHICKS THAT FISH... I'VE BEEN TRYING TO DO THAT FOR YEARS... INSTEAD I'VE FOUND BETTER LUCK TEACHIN CHICKS TO FISH... THAT WHOLE TEACHING THEM TO CAST IDEA WORKS GREAT... EASY WAY TO WRAP UR ARMS AROUND THEM WITHOUT GETTIN A SLAP... LOL... LOOK FORWARD TO UR POSTS

Yes, they're in the Ottawa but you're chances at catching them are slim compared to the Adirondacks. There are much bigger ones in the Ausable as well.

not in a brown trout lake that i fish. in that lake the smallest brown i caught was a 17 incher, the perch are bigger then my head, and the small mouth bass in that lake are truly monsters.
I'd have to agree with Salar. For consistent and quality brown trout fishing your best bet is in Upstate NY. Especially considering that only two lakes in Eastern Ontario are stocked with Brown trout, one of which is pretty much only accessible during the winter. The other has been fishing with mixed results.
Katch Moore, I'd be happy to fish for Browns with you next spring or this fall... or somehow arange and exchange of information to know where this close to home trout spot is. My trip to NY was my first trout experience and I loved it.
For now, I'll work with what comes easy... BASS, Pike and Walleye!
I hope to catch a bit of each in the next two weeks vacation.
Anybody had luck with Walleye near Sherley's Bay/Constance Bay?
