This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Some more details added

I'll be selling the ballots at the RA launch. I'll be there for 6:30 am and we start fishing at 7 am. If you miss me at the launch then you can come and find me on the water. I have a 162 Princecraft with "The Other Woman" on the side and a white Johnson on the back. Everyone was able to find me last year so don't fret over it.

I'll be first off of the water so that I can be at Broadways first for everyone to show up at 1:30 pm.

You'll get 1 ticket for your pike and one for your musky. Everyone who shows up at Broadways get's a raffle ticket regardless if you got a fish or not. But for every fish you do catch you get an extra ticket. I have a couple of prizes lined up, more on this to follow.

I hope we can get close to the 17 anglers we had last year.

So I've managed to free up a few moments and have made 2 lures as prizes

1 for pike and 1 for musky

Once assembled I'll post the pictures of the 2 lures up for prizes

There are also some fish-hawk vendors who have offered up some prizes too.

I'm looking forward to it! :-) Great to hear that you've made a couple of prizes and that vendors have stepped in with prizes too! :)

Do we have a list of participants? :-)

cheers,

Paul

I guess we'll never know how many until the day of.

I've got 2 lures on the drying wheel as we speak and I ordered two trophies today too. Had no choice, Placide used to work at MotoPhoto and did all of the work for me the last 2 years, but since he is no longer there I am on my own.

Geez I miss having him do all of the work for me.

Now my printer is giving me grief and I need to print off entry sheets.

Oh and you should have seen the woman's face when she read what I wanted written on the trophies

"Toothy Critter Derby" made her shake her head.

I get them Friday so I'll take a pic and post it this weekend along with the assembled lures.

Hey Mr. J, where is this being held anyway. Is it on the Rideau River and when you say RA Center are you referring to the Kars Launch?

Cann't tell you excatly how to get there, I don't know the street names.

As for the $10.00, it hasn't really changed, it used to be $5.00 per species of fish, so everyone ended up paying for both $5.00 for Pike and $5.00 for Musky. I guess Mr. J just decieded because if you catch one but not the other your atleast entered in both. Just makes things easier for everyone.
