What time ya launching RJ? If I go anywhere it is likely to be Arnprior to see if your favourite spots are the same as mine...
Incidentally, I was at Arnprior yesterday from 07:00 to 16:00 yesterday. Was by myself for the day. Caught half a dozen pike, none larger than 20 inches. They were in the bushes. Saw a gar and chased him around a mud puddle for ten minutes. Caught a pile of walleye in my catfish spot and only one catfish.
Fishhawk "gotta run like a madman bye thanks see ya good luck"
Monday I'll maybe be heading up the French River or the Kwetabohigan River to catch a few fish, but not for a real serious outing because I'm tripping to the Ottawa Valley early Tuesday.
Got the long train and the even longer drive.
Maybe see some of youz out there on the water some place.

At least the West Enders?
Where do you guys launch from in Arnprior and what time...I have never fished out of the area, I would like to take my dad out for some big cats and maybe try for a few walleye while I am in the area. It would also be fun to meet some more Fish-Hawk folks.

Just a guy that likes to fish walleye
My trailers wireing is FUBARd so I off to Calabogie SAT to try for some more Brookies. I will hopefully fix the problem late SAT so I can head on to the Mississippi SUN. Tight lines all!
I'll be launching out of the Madawaska right in Arnprior and heading out onto the Ottawa from there....very easy to find....it's probably listed in the boat launch site accessible from the main Fish Hawk page....

Muskiemagnet, Is there a place up there where I can get minnows? Also would you like to come along on Saturday.
You can get minnows at Bayview bait 'n tackle right in Buckham's Bay!
About 2/3rds the way down the bay on the left as you go INTO the bay!
I'm in for Sunday - I can only do the morning though. I have a plans for the afternoon/evening.
There's another Bait shop in Constance Bay - it's on Baird St, just follow the signs as you drive into town. Real friendly guy runs it.
Eye-tracker: the boat launch in Arnprior is right in town. Coming from the south/east go right down the main drag and across the bridge, take the first right on the other side of the river (Madawaska Blvd?). I'm pretty sure it's well marked with signs.

Hey ET,
As soon as you go into Arnprior you'll cross a large bridge. You'll be able to see the launch from the bridge on the right. After crossing hang the first right at the lights. go down a street or two, you'll see a launch sign. I believe it's Ottawa Street but don't quote me. Then just follow it for about a minute or two...Easy to find.
Once in the water, great Cats and Wallies just out of the mouth as you hit the Ottawa River. The area where the launch is, is a conservation area for the early part of the season I believe as well so you must head out to the main river.
Well I am entertaining my folks who came up from Montreal for a visit and a tour of the tulips... oh well I have to get all the commitments out of the way before I start disappearing every spare moment of the day for the boat.
I still have a temporary shelter to build at Petrie too .... man the uped the prices to stay there this year too.... that and the rising price of gas... anyone want to sponsor my fuel bill?
My son showed up this weekend too and darned if I don't feel a tickle in my throat coming on for Monday.
