Just trying to get some clear directions so that BigJoe can find his way from Gananoque Lake to Cobden.
I have him arriving in Carleton Place on Hwy. 15. I presume he goes east on 7 to #29.
Then, again presumably, the best route from there is to take #29 to the Trans Canada, then west to Cobden. Can anyone add some landmarks, etc. so that everything is crystal clear?
Hwy 32 to Hwy 15, keep right at Crosby to stay on 15 through to Smith Falls, in Smith Falls go across bridge, and Hwy 15 will take a right then a left past the tracks at the top of Smith Falls, stay on 15 to Carlton Place, still stay on 15 to Hwy 17, take Hwy 17 to Cobden.

It is Hwy 29 now from Carleton Place to Hwy 17. And it is a bit confusing going through there for the first time. There's lots of gas station attendents that give good directions in that area.
When he is on Hwy 17 he will pass the Antrim Truck Stop (10KM from when you get on Hwy 17).
5 km past Antrim, Al's Bait and Gas on right in Galetta. Good place to stop for things you've forgotten. Next Arnprior, then Refrew, Cobden is past Renfrew about 15/20 minutes.
To avoid some of the Slowest traffic in Carlton Place...
When you get to the 15/7 intersection head East on 7 (2 set of lights I believe) and turn left at the ESSO/Tim's (Coffee stop if needed). There is a Canadian Tire as well.
Follow the road to the end then Right onto #29 towards Almonte ect.
The bypass isn't as fast as it used to be but it beats going through town (especially if hauling a boat)
