Carleton U is a hotbed of action

Sunday afternoon, went fishing at Carleton U. Using nothing but spinners and meps, it seemed that every cast, I landed something.3 Carp, 2 Walleye and 3 rock bass......either way, had a blast. Solo fishing seems to be my forte....in case you need spots...anywhere from below the O-train bridge down about 1 km along the shore line(westbound)....every time I cast, something nibbled or grabbed....only brought in 8. Only problem with this is, you gotta watch out for beavers and turtles....for some reason, turtles were grabbing my mepps all the time....they let go of course, but they grabbed. No pics.... ...maybe I'll just have to invest in a digital sooner or later.

When river is high Chalton rappids can produce a lot of action.
There is big rock in the middle of river there.Where you able to see it .. ?

No. The only thing I was able to see was some of the weeds protruding through the top of the water...but they were hard to see cause the rapids were so violent...mind you, watching that Loon ride the rapids was alot of fun....going back tonight.

I may bump into ya down there tonight,thinkin of a few good spots round there!If I miss ya try a jig with either a grub or power minnow right at the start of the rapids(where they begin below the old trolly line)There is a good # of eyes that will hold in there too.
