chewi we have yet to celebrate this first musky of ours!!

its still hasent sunk into our little brain yet that we caught a rare healthy gorgeouse oustanding beauty of a BEAST!

dont envy, we are just two guys gathering info from profesionals and putting into work!

I dont think this fish was luck....it was putting the right lure right in there face!

i found a weed bed and i worked it hard... up and down up and down

10-20 then 10-6 FOW

funny how in the 10 -20 FOW range its flat bottom on the fish finder....

do oyu guys get some musky when there is no structure like that??

we got our in the weed bed but they must go swimming around those flats....

how deep do musky go?

I could not even guess how deep a Muskie would go. I do know right in front of the Museum of Civilization there is a deep hole of 150 feet and there are really big fish that hang about 10-15 feet from the bottom. I'm guessing Sturgeon but who knows for shure. I do know its tough to get bait that deep because of the current.

I know you guys like to fish McLaren Bay and thats right near where I like to fish. Bass-Hunter and yourself must have passed and waved to me at least a dozen times this year without ever knowing who the other boat was. I drive a white and blue Cadorette with a 50 Merc. There is also a Canadian flag off the transome. It's not that pretty but it gets me fishing. I usually fish the other side of the river but have had some bassariffic days fishing the mouth and around the entrance of Mclaren Bay on the Ottawa.

Keep yer lines tight and mabee I'll see you guys this upcomming Saturday on the River. If you see my boat come over for a visit!

Your right about the class, it is just frustrating about the "forgotten girth mesurment "

it was measured in the water and not weighed , anywhooooooo

a trophy for us none the less
