any east end lowrance owners??
any east end lowrance owners??
I am having trouble with my sonar - I cannot figure out if it is a wiring issue or if the unit's head is shot. Everything that I can see on the wiring side appears fine. What I was hoping to do was find a lowrance owner to see if my unit can plug into your boat and see if it powers up.

I will help any way I can to trouble shoot your issue.

I'm not near you but I may be able to help you out a bit. One of the things you should check first is the in-line fuse holder. Apparently they were having some trouble with them getting moisture in there and it would give some problems. I was having some intermittant problems with mine and that's what it ended up being. If it is a GPS unit another thing to check would be the power connections for the module. If it is the slight bit loose it can give some troubles. Hopefully it's nothing serious and you can get it figured out.

Mick,
When mine was giving me troubles I thought the same thing about the fuse but I was wrong. My dealer told me they can get a small amount of corrosion on them that would make them loose a good contact. I took mine out, buffed them and put a small dab of grease on them and I haven't had any troubles since. I know it sounds to simple but give it a try, I was skeptical at first but it seems to have worked for me.
