Thanks for the post - and the photos. I have never fished for pink salmon but it is on the list to do some day.

good looking fish. hope they tasted good.

any tips on hot flies? i'm hoping to tackle pink salmon in fall 2009 or 2010 in the same area.

When it comes to flies I have used mostly streamers and wolly buggers. I have started with the nymphs but there where snagging to many fish.

Very nice!

I've never fished for pinks, I wonder why they are in the great lakes?

what was the purpose of stocking them?

They are the least desirable when it comes to taste I thought?

you are just fishing for fun in these picks, not for food right?

I can tell they are spawning because of the big hump and the jaw is already deformed...

anyways, it's very cool, the males are much more interesting looking than the females................
