Go Big or Go Home w/pics

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I do want everyone to know that the title of this topic " go big or go home" is referring to the big baits we ran. It was something i said to the guys saturday night when we coming up with a game plan for sunday. I just ordered some more of these. The most beautiful wobble I've seen at super slow speeds.

Hey Beachburg...

A couple years ago I was an avid member of Back Water Bass Association and I can honestly say the guy's payed the utmost attention to survival both before and after the weigh-ins.. Some members of the group were indeed from Renegade so they most likley brought some of their handling techniques with them when Backwater was formed.

I recall there were pre-tournament inspections on all boats including livewells. Of course we ranked low in the group we had a blast, learned alot of things like how to catch and release. I seem to recall not many died at the scales and if and when they did some folks in the audiance who never fished before were given them.

All in all good times had....

To those who have PM'd me in the past 12 hours supporting my point in this matter...thanks...I don't feel so alone on the island anymore...

P.S. Look at this weather....let's go fishin!
Your point was supported by your buddys I Imagine..... Bass tourny or walleye tourny all the same I have pics from quinte bass tournies with fish floating everywhere after weigh-ins..... I'm sure bass die in Renegade...... Dont try to put yourself above the rest !!!!! You've made a point but not trying to attack you but you need to step back and think about your position..... your saying that RENEGADE IS THE BEST then explain why it's the best???? I dont think any tourny where you rip fish across having there heads bounce off your livewell at 40-60 mph to get to station on time is moral in anyones eyes that just enjoys fishing for the fun of it!!!!!! THE WEATHER IS BEAUTY IM GOING FISHING!!!!

I agree that fish dying for no reason sucks!!! But I saw MNR rules followed to the t in this JB tourny, any fish that did die was cleaned in front of my eyes.... that's no waste to me.... as a local I'd rather see these fish be eaten then thrown back to make the bay look like a WALLEYE DEATH BED..... My feelings as an angler are if I killed it I EAT IT! Fishing consumption guide states that a fish that big wont kill you and some of the ol boys dont have 3 eyes yet and are in good health so it didn't kill them...... But I will take it upon myself to suggest to Eddy or Brian who helped run this tourny to perhaps try a different tourny where the fish dont have to be hauled 10 miles and kept in livewells all day..... alot of this conversation could have been cleared up through PM's!

As a new comer, I just wanted to say that from past experience on boards, this debate was very well handled (I did not read all 4 pages) , you wanna see anger, threats etc. go onto any BC fishing site in August and read up on bottom bouncing, every year, every time, its great! Nice eyes! My personal best is only an 8lber so I guess BOQ is in the works for next year
