Nothing retarded about that BA...I'm praying that the ice stays away so that i can continue to get out on the river and enjoy the softwater until Muskie season closes next month!!!!!!!!!!!

Fellas, tis the season and I would guess that about 99% of the folks on this site are lurking/viewing right now because they aren’t fishing in our state of in between seasons. (Except maybe for TMH who is Musky-Crazy) This is my first rant because by now someone else usually says what I am thinking but I thought what the hell it's my turn and I had the day off work to boot.

Viewer No.1 here. I can say it with pride simply because I am not often a poster but when I do check this wonderful site (F-H on average 3-4 times a day) I check every post because most times they are entertaining.

This post alone has garnished at least 15 views from me simply because you have all kept it alive. I am very interested in learning more about the 1000+ trout lakes in our two provinces so I keep checking back in. I absolutely understand the basis for controversy over mentioning lake names on the site but each of you has kept this post alive and that is why it reached 1700 hits...because it is the top of the list every time I log on.

This is also true of the Nov 26 get together...but is that a bad thing? I think not! I have hit that post at least a dozen times too and have not yet posted that I was attending but I probably will because there a lot of folks I would really like to chat with since I have only read about you and your adventures on this site.

Some of you have posted on it 10-15 times never mind how many times you opened it. Now for the math, 27 voters x 15 views = 400+ views. That leaves about 1300 views of the post which would means that only 1/3 of the F-H population actually read this post so far. That means you can expect another 2000 views from the rest of the F-H Viewers over the coming days if this post remains at the top of the list.

There’s my nickels’ worth and yes Pete, you can tell the season by the way people post, obviously me included

BTW: When the ice does get hard and it will soon, I'll have my gas auger, fish trap and flasher charged and ready to pounce on the first event or derby posted on this site, otherwise why would they be mentioned on the site at all?

PM if you want it PRIVATE and post if you want it PUBLIC...the choice is yours.

The damn ice can’t thicken soon enough.

I think an ice fishing derby is due....on a stocked trout lake???...Not a good idea......how bout on the Ottawa River??....Constance Bay, Buchams Bay, Constance Lake?????......it's all about getting together, putting names to faces and havin' some fun on the ice!!.....I'd be willing to help organize such an event in January when we have safe ice....

As far as this naming of lakes, are you that dumb?...Posting locations of anything to a complete bunch of strangers is not good. Sure, a couple are your cyber buddies you have a "bond" to. lol Does it empower you to type this stuff out and defend your actions all day long? Let the people do the legwork! Jeez...the fishing is kinda crappy there now anyways..if they want to put all that effort and driving in, at least make them work for it.

Those lakes were quite clean and non-littered 6-7 years ago. The numbers (and sizes) were way better back then. There were NEVER bass in a particular lake, and pumplinseeds in another...hmm how did that happen. I am just positive it was a local!!! right!

Something has happened to make people think it is a local dump and that just because they pay Canadian taxes(or not for a few of ya I can surmise)that they have every right to treat that lake like their own private property. Not all people on here are good. How hard is it to just keep your yap shut?

And whoever wrote the locals are fed up and watching it this year, I am positive that is the case.

After that spout off who wouldn't want to give you a few spots. Matter of fact I'm thinking of a place you can go to right now.
