Ok i will say...........NOPE.

hard to catch nope.........to have great day everyday..harder...to catch monster all the time harder.

but you can catch a load off bass.like 200 a day on a holla popper and a 10$ rod no prob...on some day.

on other day harder....cause..?..weater patern..weater pressur or fishing pressur or ?.water clarity etc etc.

but in general..there in the easyes species to catch.

and nobody cant say deferently..like i said before if a 3year old can catch a load at the end a dock..wit worms and bamboo rod..cant say there hard to catch..nope.. .

ok i no this will get some true bass lovers.... ..and saying there pro at this and put so mutch $ into it..


read the full tread.....to keep catching monster you need some skill and be inform and to be a good fishermans..but to catch bassin general and a lot off them...easy.

be on water where there bass.and fish you will get them...and keep fishing

I think you're right, Joco. That in general, they (bass) are not hard to catch. They'll strike so many different kinds of lures and you can always change things up to suit the time of day / weather / etc.

But I also think that there are those particular days and times that are just tough to catch them. At least for me!

Bass are very hard to catch....I've learned a ton from the pro's off this site on how to catch them. I just wish I could catch a nice one too ....oh well, theres always next year.

I found this season to be particularly tough for some reason. I am not sure why and I know it wasn't just me. Plenty of my other fishing buddies also said it was an tough bass season.

I still have the rest of the day to change that. I better run and get the boat out of storage. There's still 15 hours of bass season left. Anyone know of any good spots (that aren't frozen over).

for some species is a bit harder to get them one after onother.

sturgeons
salmon
lakers
whiefish
gar pike...easyer then musky but to get a lot like bass..nope

bass is almost the easyes fish to catch if not the easyes.

and pike and cats and crappies and perch are the easyes species to catch to.

but to catch monsters in all species you need some skill and luck.and time on water.

I think we could agree this statement could be used on a lot of different species. Some all year long, others at a certain time of the year. Bullhead are a real no-brainer in the spring, but try to catch a meal in July. What about Rock Bass........let's face it joco, who isn't catching rockies all year long when targeting smallies or LMB?

Bass have been in center stage for a long time. I don't know if another fish has been more analyzed, studied & tracked than the bass. Books, video, TV shows........a lot of information for everyone on just one fish. Forums like Fish-Hawk are a true goldmine of information, where we all can stay on top the bite all year long and compare our success and failure with all the reports & articles that get posted in here. We have an incredible group of retail partners that keep the best of the industry's lures, tackle & electronics on their shelves.........along with hooks, bobbers, splitshot and worms.

Little kids catching MONSTERS right off their docks........absolutely............aren't docks where us big kids throw to from our boats? Bass are "easy" because of the locations they live in and structure they relate to. With the popularity of C&R, bass populations are growing every year.

I caught bass on every trip I went on this year, some days much better than others. I will also say it was a tough year with regards to superior fish. Were they easy to catch? The small ones were....the bigger fish were very difficult. Monsters were blown oppertunities.

If we replaced all the bass in your favorite water with muskie I suspect you wouldn't have a thumb left in a day's fishin'
Bass are a much larger % of the gamefish population than muskie. I'm no muskie fisherman, but would it be a fair comparison to say a 3-4 muskie day is equal to a 24+ bass day?
