Happy Holidays

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I hate to say this....

But at work here in Canada alot of folks get a half day on the 24th.
In our multi-cultural nation.

My brother, who works in the States has meetings until 6 PM?

I thought they were the "Christian" nation?

He also only got 3 hours of work to visit his wife (now ex) and 1st born when he was born...
They told him if he were any longer he'd be fired.

Nice eh?

(No offence to our American users here but c'mon! He has worked for 4 different companies in 10 years (High-tech) and they have usually always treated them the same!).

Unfortunately it's up to the owner to decide when their employees can go home for Christmas Eve. My last job, which I held for 22 yrs., the office Christmas party was held from lunch til about 3 on Christmas Eve and we all went home. In my current job the party is a week before and we work half a day on Christmas Eve. Both the owners are of the Jewish faith and had no problem with the holiday, some do, my daughter must work til 5 on the Eve.

None the less, everyone have a wonderful holiday and enjoy! Joe.

Have a great festive season.

Here's a link to probably the best Christmas song ever. Thank-you Ray Davies

Happy New Year to all. Hope everyone enjoyed a safe and festive holiday season with their friends and family.

Like Bobber, I've been scarce here as well, but hope to be back on board more as the year rolls along.

All the best to everybody in 2009!

W.
