Mexico bass adventure?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Mexico bass adventure?

Post by JP »

I am looking to book a trip to Mexico at a resort for bass. Has to be all inclusive and offer size and #'s of fish.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Second the El Salto. I know a few people who have been. They said the numbers were not "fish every cast" as some would have you believe but the bass they did catch were all over 4 lbs big. If I recall, the biggest one of them caught was an 8 lber.

If you are not set on Mexico and largies are the target, consider Lake Fork TX for lots of big bass (and bonus monster crappie). If you want a crack at some 10+ lb bass, cranking back huge swimbaits in Clear Lake CA might be fun. And Lake Toho in central Florida is one of the best bass fisheries in the US.

Wherever you go, I'm jealous..... :D

JP,

Is it because you are already going to Mexico?

What about Okachobee or Mintooka? Both are known for producing big bass.
