New Reel

Post by fishboch »

Saw an ad for these in the new In-Fisherman.
They sound intriguing.
Less friction for longer casts.
They don't look like they're up to musky reel standards but you bass fishermen might be interested...

Check it out.

Looks pretty neat, any idea what one of those would cost?

Wouldn't just having the worm-gear move with the spool do the same thing? Either way it looks pretty ingenious...hopefully one of the shows this winter/spring have some on display

I have seen these reels at a show in the States. I wonder what they are like to thumb with the spool spinning opposite to what we are used to. I can check the price at the store.

There are two models. The Sc1000BC would sell for around $300.00, the SC1000PRO would go for around $360.00, including taxes. Scary prices for new technology.
