2009 Ice Fishing Trip booked! Nippising, Idle Tyme Resort

We are heading up January 30 for 2 nights, 2 days fishing
I am pumped - last year was my first year ever ice fishing, and this will be the first trip to Nipissing
Will post an update when we get back

Sorry bout the double post

So last weekend was the trip
Overall it was great

Didn't catch much of size - 2 largest fish were 2 pound Lake Herring
Lots of perch, and a few jumbos - almost all fish came on light jigs or light buckshot rattle spoons tipped with either a live minnow or minnow head
Story seemed to be that Nipissing, at least around the Callandar Bay area has had slow fishing for most of the year for walleye

Idle Tyme was solid
Great huts, good bait and an attentive owners - the cabins were nice - only challenge was that our cabin was right over the owners house, so we were a little worried - didn't end up being a problem though - although we were pretty bagged most nights - if you really wanted to party - I would recommend that u not book the upper cabin

just got back from southshore ice condos and fishing was no better, a few perch and herring ..... i was skunked all weekend.

we stay on the ice so no trouble or worries about partying

Nippissing has been the worst ever from all the years that I have fished the south shore of Callender!!!
What gives???

word is on other boards it the whole lake that is slow this year, not just that area wish i had an answer :(

hopfully next year .... if not might be my last trip up there
