I'll be participating as usual. I'll be at the Ottawa Flyfishers Society booth tying flies and/or converting people over to the dark side!
On a side note, it you're looking for a particular fly, some of the tiers will take request (assuming they have the necessary matrials for the pattern.)
Cheers,
Todd

IMHO the continued increase in guns and archery gear booths are definitely impacting the quality of the spring show. I remember when I first attended the spring show at least 6 years ago, there was only a handful of hunting related booths, the rest dedicated to fishing. Now it seems that at least 1/4 to 1/3 of the booths are now hunting related.
If it's not kept in check I'm sure you'll see the fishing booths forced out of the show, similar to what happened over time with the Ottawa Sportsman show, which in my opinion is more of a boat show now, than a sportsman show.

Carp Show
Carp, absolutely will be there. I put my wife on a plane Friday night and will be free to shop till I drop
and then go home and hide all my new pruchases
.
I'll do the Ottawa show out of pure cabin fever and probably do a road trip mid March to Bass Pro and the Toronto show just to check prices.
Only about sx or seven weeks until the boat comes out of storage.

I plan to go to Paddletails instead of the Ottawa show which occurs on the same dates. I get better selection, prices and tons of info from the man himself and pro staffers on hand...then off to the Carp show. by then I'll be fired up for the soft water season and driving the wife crazy that she'll kick me out of the house come spring! heh!

The Paddletales travelling road show will be at Carp again this year. As Bassman40 has already stated, we will be doing our annual in store hoopala from the 26th of Feb to the 1st of March. The main days with prostaff on hand and the chicken-fest will be Friday and Saturday.
