To spear or not to spear??

Hey thanx everyone for your imput and thoughts on the matter.

I love that everyone has different opinions on things and the fact that some people like it and some don't is great. The thing that bothers me is when others force their opinion on others!! But that was not done here and that was awesome, actually I don't mind when people force their opinion on me because I can get quite nasty at times and I love controversy!!

I definitly will not post pics on here but on the hunting page, but I will let you know that they are on there. I totally agree with you joco it is more like underwater hunting but seeing as I am using a legal instrument in the water to get fish I will continue to call it fishing..

I will EAT EVERYTHING I shoot, except carp, but I don't see myself shooting to many of those.

So joco, I'm looking forward to doing some with you in the summer, and anyone else who is interested also.

scubasteve.

look that pict..the guy i no took yesterday under the ice on the stlawrence. nere montreal he thios spearfish there all year long in very cold water.

.

look at those sinkers at one spot...a drema for a carp fishermans..all those sinker waiting to be pick.

this is other thing that is good about diving..you can build a tackle box full in no time. just cost some new hooks.

this have been took yesterday.neer montreal.

today i was at the sportsman show talking to the mnr there for about 30min about spearfishing..actualy they have one there in there boot.

and yes there is spearfishing in are region just not many species,,and its open for us residant off canada even for quebec residant..sow ould be ligal to hunt carp at long sault wit a speargun...just ahe to look the dates and all.

carp open for bow and spear...may 1 to 31 july..in that zone.

but dont like the bow thing..kill carp for nothing.

so wont go there to kill carp wit a speargun for fun..what i kill i eat..so would have to eat that carp..

...mabe a small ove could be eaten.

a lot off european eat them..but i am not to mutch into carp feast myelf.

so will be going there but just to look at them and film them and go see the underwater village and go get those few 1000,s weight in the bottoms.

jumping catfish. lotsa lead there and is that fishin line ?You could almost make a gill net with all that nylon there

not at all.

its full over there even some pict off dead bird caught in those lines in the bottom..

..bird that dive and go down to go see those flashy thing on the bottom and get caughts in the lines...very sad to see.

about the spear again.

can even go for carp wit s speragun here to..in the ottawa both side and all local river ontario side or quebec side.
