It for sure should be useful... but as its not really enforced its basically useless.

I've been stopped and checked a couple times at Calabogie Lake but never anywhere else. The last few years I've been out on the Ottawa near Port o Call Marina for maybe 100+ days in either a kayak, windsurfer, sailboat, Jet-ski, tinny or a big Doral cruiser. I've never even seen the police or MNR. And that stretch of water gets ridiculous sometimes with the 'cigarette' boats that shake the paintings on the wall and play salom with the other boats.

Almost been run over a few times in the kayak...

Until there's stronger enforcement it just isn't going to work as it should.
Stavi lost his fingers. The Special Olympis are mine now. Jeffy never loses. Plus I'm an angry individual... I like to fight... anywhere.

Operator's Card

Post by Seaweed »

Well in my opinion this Operator's Card started out as a very good idea... a nice way to save teenagers from killing themselves and others with Seedoos.

Like everything else over the years it has slowly become mandatory for everyone to have one and by the end of September this year I think everyone needs one.

I will be doing mine soon...

I couldn't believe that they were asking $60 to do it at last weekends show... I remember when they first started doing this it was a lot cheaper like $35 maybe. That is gouging in my opinion.

Like it or not... we will all need one soon.
